‘Nature of Fragility’ offers the wearer an experience, challenging them to confront their vulnerabilities by placing a physical presence to an emotion or experience, inviting the individual to embark on a journey of self-discovery.

As the fragile pieces are worn, they will inevitably become damaged and break – emulating the fragility and vulnerability of human nature and emotions.  The journey is about the wearer beginning to accept their vulnerabilities and learning how to overcome them.  

Once the piece has become un-wearable, the jewellery can then be re-made into another more wearable piece, to act as a more permanent keepsake and a reminder of the journey the wearer has experienced.  These pieces are made to commission, based upon the wearers’ experiences whilst interacting with the jewellery and their emotional responses to the collection.
